Clear Blue Water by T1g4h Clear Blue Water by T1g4h
And the crappy naming continues!

First render in a while I can actually say I'm really happy with, which is... surprising.

Terrain is =onesixone's "River2" and everything else is my own.

Maybe now I can render stuff more often.

It may be a crappy name, but the piece itself is superb. The water color, the close up shore detail and the distant terrain texture and colors are all wonderfully displyed.

This is fantastic. Do you remember what settings you used to get that water? It looks so calm I've been trying to get water like that for a while. Great work!

Thanks :D

Settings were:

Wave size - 25
Roughness - 10
Visibility Effect - 200
Reflections - 90%
Reflection Spread - 1
Transparency Depth - 1000m
Diffuse and Transparency colors were shades of blue

Hope that helps, if you need any other settings just let me know :D

I think the water and that shoreline are the best you've ever done fuzzy one. :)

The look of the whole image is wonderful, but the surf thing got my attention.
How the hell did you make that?! A mask?

This needs to be on the club dude, that surf thing makes this so much..really genius work on that!

Haha, thanks Sgt! No mask, just regular multisurf :D

I'll send it to the club tonight, thanks for reminding me. I've been meaning to submit something ;)

Not shit?! :ohmygod:
Now you got me there Chris!
I have never seen that ever.
Really, got an idea on how this happened...
I am so beside myself with curiosity!

Not a clue, to be honest. I'm guessing it has something to do with the shape of =onesixone's terrain, and the fact that the water was really shallow in some spots. Combine that with a bit of tweaking when it comes to the wave width, density, etc., and that was the result. It was pretty much dumb luck =P

Pity..if you had an idea on how you did it you would have a tut that would rock terragen artist butts!
Really, you know I have seen many great terrangen works, that goes with out saying, but that shore line is really a one of a kind.
I must find out how it was made. I have a new motivation now, well besides beer. :lmao:
